Wild Baja: Capturing the Spirit of Adventure with Wild Common Tequila
I just got back from an incredible Baja California road trip with two of my best adventure partners, Lizzy and Kelli Coghill. Our journey took us deep into some of the most beautiful landscapes in Baja Sur, Mexico, exploring the dramatic slot canyons near Loreto, freediving in the crystal-clear turquoise waters of Bahía Concepción, and wandering the endless sand dunes of Guerrero Negro. It was the kind of Baja adventure travel experience where desert and ocean meet, and our days were spent chasing golden light, ocean waves, and quiet moments in remote coastal landscapes.
Along the way, I photographed a commercial campaign for Wild Common Spirits, an award-winning additive-free tequila brand crafted at the historic Cascahuin Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, known for traditional tequila-making methods and authentic Mexican craftsmanship. Shooting a tequila lifestyle campaign in Baja California allowed us to blend storytelling, adventure photography, and brand narrative against some of the most iconic natural environments in Mexico.
The entire trip felt like a celebration of Baja California travel, authentic connection, wild places, creative collaboration, and the spirit of adventure that continues to draw photographers, explorers, and ocean lovers back to Baja’s desert coastlines again and again.
